2007 offered so much to avid Seahawks fan from the midwest. We started off the year with one of the most memorable plays in Seahawks playoffs history, when Tony Romo fumbled the snap of what could've been the game winning field goal. Jordan Babineaux chased down Romo for the game saving tackle, and Seattle went on to win, only to be narrowly defeated by the Chicago Bears the next week.
The 2007 season offered road games in our area with a heartbreaking overtime loss in Cleveland and a nervewracking win in St. Louis. The Seahawks went on to win the NFC West for the fourth year straight, and easily defeated the Washington Redskins in the first round of the playoffs. However, the weather at Lambeau Field and the potent running attack of the Packers offense proved too much for Seattle to overcome in round two, despite jumping to a 14 point lead early in the first quarter.
The Midwest Seahawkers had great contests, parties, giveaways and events. We met new friends and renewed our experiences with our old friends. The memories and friendships will last forever, and there's so much more where they came from.
